TOPIC:

Leveraging Your Vet Med Superpowers to Navigate Rudeness in the Workplace

Working in veterinary medicine requires incredible skill, compassion, and resilience— those strengths are often tested by difficult conversations and moments of workplace incivility. In this session, we'll explore why rudeness happens and how the qualities that make veterinary professionals exceptional caregivers can also make them exceptional communicators. Through practical strategies and real-world examples, participants will gain tools to navigate challenging interactions, strengthen relationships, and help create a culture of respect and psychological safety within their practice.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this seminar, learners will:

01

Recognize What Drives Rude Behavior

02

Respond with Confidence Instead of Reacting

03

Build a More Respectful and Resilient Team Culture

We bridge the gap between GP and ER

  • We provide an option for quality care for patients that don't need ER services

  • We have little to no wait time

  • We schedule same/next-day appointments only

We stick to what we are good at...

  • We don't offer routine care services

  • We handle all injury and illness that can be treated as outpatient

  • We stabilize patients for transfer when needed

  • We encourage clients to seek a Primary Care Provider or Specialist when indicated

We’re local

  • Scout was founded to support our community and colleagues in Primary and Specialty Care

  • We are here to help!
